I started making wood furniture back in 1983-84 for a small cabinet shop. We built all types of special order stand-alone pieces for deserving home owners with special attention to details. With that experience, I advanced to learning about kitchen cabinetry and, wow, what a challenge that was. There were so many details to consider. But I mastered that. With the experience of furniture making and the knowledge of kitchen cabinetry. Well, let's just say it's a perfect combination.

Rob's Custom Cabinets is doing our part in providing materials from vendors which are practicing reforestation for future use for the trade.

It's been about a month since our kitchen remodeling project was completed, so Rick and I are overdue to thank you for your professionalism and craftsmanship we received from Rob's Custom Cabinets. Remodeling the kitchen in this 18-year-old house was the biggest project we've ever undertaken, both in magnitude and expense. No matter how much we researched and planned, there were an infinite number of details to consider.

We appreciate your patience and experience guiding us through each of the steps involved. Your work crews were consummate professionals, arriving promptly on time, working diligently and treating our home with respect. They cleaned up their work area each night without us ever mentioning that detail and worked around the inevitable conflicting schedules of the general contractors, electricians, tile installers, and plumbers.

As with any complex construction job, something inevitably goes wrong. After playing telephone tag with our other contractors, it was extremely reassuring to know that even if you were in Las Vegas on another job, it never took more than 15 minutes to get a phone call back. You were the 'Valium' of the project when it was discovered that we had made a mistake with the appliance specs. We really appreciated your ability to work with the other contractors, some of whom you did not even know. When the issue of how to create the granite around the sink and window came up, it was your decisiveness and eye for quality that dictated how it should be completed even though it was the other contractor's responsibility and work. Your take-charge attitude meant peace of mind for us in a stressful situation.

I felt confident from the very start that your vision and expectations for our dream kitchen was the same as ours. My problem was that I didn't know how to exactly accomplish that, but you certainly did. An interior designer was not necessary, because you had those skills as well. Our friends say our kitchen looks like it should be in Architectural Digest, and our kids' friends say it looks like MTV Cribs. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased with the end result.
